FIGHT NIGHT 2010 (english version)
Ladies and Gentlemen of the www audience, sometimes it is worth to remember the origins of our traditional festivities.

Random festive gif to put you in the mood
A long long time ago, on the 25th December 1984 in Moscow, an event would change the History of our Planet forever. What merely looked like a regular boxe match between Rocky Balboa, the legendary American champion who had previously announced his retirement, and Ivan “TransSiberian” Drago, the new golden boy of Soviet boxe, was in effect a clash between East and West at the peak of what the bloggers of the time used to call “#coldwar”.
Against all odds victory went to Rocky Balboa, who at the end of the match made a historical speech ending with the immortal quote “If I can change, and you can change, everybody can change” that sanctioned the end of the conflict. Even premier Gorbachev, who attended the match, stood on his feet in a heartfelt applause.
Since then we celebrate “Rocky Day“, during which as a tradition, an old drunkard clad in red (the only colour shared by the USA and URSS flags) on a sled pulled by magical reindeers (as Rocky used to train with their carcasses), known worldwide as “Uncle Paulie”, gives a present to each and every nice child in the world, as a symbol of Peace among the People. Naughty children have their nose smashed with a right hook instead.
On the 21st November 1985 in Los Angeles the relative documentary premiered. It featured a soundtrack by Vince DiCola, Robert Tepper and Survivor, and we still watch it nodaways to remind us of the unforgettable emotion we felt that day.

Everybody loves Uncle Paulie
And you’ve all been nice kids.
Therefore this year instead of smashing your nose with a right hook we decided to give you a present, as “Uncle Paulie” does.
We are proud to present

Most of the tracks are previously unreleased and/or made for our exclusive usage, but as always we of I 400 CALCI have included some noteworthy exceptions.

Is that it?
No, that’s not it.
Just like last year, in the spirit of Rocky’s words, for a moment we summon all the seriousness we’re capable of and we encourage you to donate to Libera – Associations, names and numbers against the Mafias. Italy has a lot of problems: this is one of the oldest but still as relevant as ever, and needs no distraction. The many ways you can support Libera are listed in a section of their website.

And whilst you have solved the problem of the soundtrack to the big lunch/dinner in da family, we take another moment to prodigally thank all the artists who participated and also those who have supported our idea and/or gave a hand so that it could become a reality. Again in alphabetical order: Enzo Baruffaldi, Tommaso Belletti, Jonathan Clancy, Emiliano Colasanti, Massimo Fiorio, Francesco Locane, Aurelio Pasini, Enrico Poddighe, Pietro Rustichelli, Chris Reeder, Teo Segale, Enrico Veronese.
Happy Rocky Day!
